Although Mindscape began as a Web design based company, we disliked the restrictive term. Instead, we like to be referred to as a Web solutions company because this title better portrays our team’s range of abilities.
Although Web design is one of our strengths, we feel the terms Web development and Web design mean two different things and should be completed by people with different abilities. The design of a Web site is its external beauty. It’s what makes it pop and aesthetically pleasing. Development, on the other hand, is any function relating to the construction of a Web site.
You could compare it to dining in a restaurant. The Web developer would be the manager and the designer would be the cook. You wouldn’t want the manager preparing your food. The same holds true in our industry.
